AU shipping expectations vs reality on your PDP

Delivery promises are a conversion lever. What Australian shoppers actually expect to see before checkout.

Australian shoppers are unusually sensitive to delivery timing on the product page, not just at checkout — likely a side effect of the country's shipping distances and a few well-publicised courier delays.

Show a date, not a duration

'Arrives by Thu 27 Aug' outperforms '3–5 business days' in every test we have run with Melbourne merchants. A concrete date reads as a commitment; a range reads as a guess.

Branded tracking closes the loop

Once the order ships, the same specificity matters. A branded tracking page with a real carrier ETA cuts 'where is my order' tickets far more than a generic carrier redirect link ever does.

Delivery-date confidence on the PDP is one of the cheapest conversion levers Australian merchants have not pulled yet.
